Fitness and Beauty Secrets of Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray
On staying fit
The Filipino-Australian beauty queen shared that she was re-introduced to fitness by her boyfriend Clint Bondad. In preparation for the big event, she works out 3 to 4 times a week, rotating between Pilates, strength and cardio. She explained in PEP Philippines that her fitness rotation is because she wants to be in the best shape and have a lot of energy throughout the day.
Not only that, she also enjoys karate and earned a black belt. Practicing this martial art taught her how important discipline is and gave her a sense of achievement.
On staying healthy
Catriona rarely eats junk food and doesn’t eat a lot of sugar. Instead, she eats plenty of vegetables. And since she loves to cook, she makes her own “baon.” According to her, “I love to cook. Because you know exactly what’s going in your food. You can make it exactly how you like it.”
However, the most important for her is to have a healthy breakfast. The beauty queen is a big fan of smoothies such as green smoothies, juices, and smoothie bowls.
For Catriona, her skincare routine is to first remove makeup, grime, and dust on her face to avoid having breakouts and then cleansing her face. She also gets a facial once every two weeks to take care of her skin. Moreover, she is a firm believer that skincare starts from within. She consumes plenty of water because otherwise her skin would have a tendency to be dry and more likely to break out.
